Does anyone know if windows media player applies some kind of colour correction to your video? I have watched my 7D videos on multiple players and it seems WMP crushes the blacks and also more grain is noticable than on QT. What do you guys think? What player do you guys use?

I use VLC. (http://www.videolan.org)WMP does all sorts of stuff to "enhance" the video if it can play it, and messes with audio, and even has "tools" that allows you to fiddle with color balance for video and a band-pass equalizer for the audio.

I thought so, i guess i wont use WMP anymore. I would rather have the video flat as it looks on QT then have it color corrected.
