How cool would it be to have XSI on Mac apple for OS X, the work flow is much faster. and all that grey layouts will be gone. With apple OS X, it makes u want to jus play with the software. wat u think?

Doesn't sound appealing at all...

This thread is doomed to the OS wars...

There is an extensive thread in this very forum about this topic... go look at how that one turned out.

I for one, like the OS X alot, more so than WinXP. But both have there flaws though(i'll leave it at that).

As for as XSI on the Mac, to be honest i wont hold my breath on this. The Mac graphics card choices are poor, they offer non DCC cards for DCC software? It doesnt make sense. Most people wont use gaming cards to run XSI(there are exceptations). Bad move by Steve Jobs on that part. Radeon and GeForce aren the best choice of cards to run XSI or any other DCC software for that matter.

If they are serious about getting into the 3DCG industry offer Quadro serie cards and the likes.

The G5 is awesome though!:applause: very appealing technology.

I seriously doubt Softimage would invest the time in making a new gui to comply with apple's osx conventions. Therefore, the grey ui would remain. I've run xsi on linux, win32 and irix and they all look the same, if ever there's a mac version it will look the same.

interesting read, ggg

funny thing is, isnt Pixar own by none other than Steve Jobs himself? Last time i check it was. So its kind of a mute point to mention Pixar supporting OSX.

to each his own:D
