Hey guys, I'm trying to model a car and have seemed to develop a few problems. I was wondering if anybody had some tips maybe:

My main problem right now is how the front gets weird bumps when I smooth it.
I also have some vertices just floating by the front of the top part of the car. Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

Thanks much :).

I'm fairly new to maya, so this might not solve your problem.

I think you need to merge the vertices. Snap them together, then go into the merge vertices option, and merge them together.

Yes, I'm aware I could do that, but is that the best choice? Or maybe, my geometry is bad altogether and I should try re-working it. What do you guys think?
Thanks

Merge vertices and then smooth. If you smooth something with an edge that doesn't attach to anything, you'll get those bumps. Merging the vertices will solve your problem.
