Hi guys
This year we'll try to get Yafaray (http://www.yafaray.org/) into GSoC. Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is an annual program, held from May to August , in which Google awards stipends to students who successfully complete a requested free software / open-source coding project during the summer. The program is open to students aged 18 or over. This is our ideas & general information page:
GSoC 2010 - YafaRay Ideas Page. (http://www.yafaray.org/development/documentation/GSOCideas)
It is the first time we apply. However, we have been already talking with the GSoC administrator to see what are our real possibilities of being accepted as a mentoring org, and there was some positive feedbak, so we have decided to go ahead with the application.
If you are an student over eighteen and you can commit yourself full time this summer to code for a free open source project, in YafaRay we would like to hear from you. We are also looking for mentors and their ideas.
If you're interested or you'd like to suggest anything, post here or contact us at alvarolunab(at)yahoo(dot)es
