View Full Version : Animation - Funny, Violent WW2, BBC2 ident

A couple of members have commented on this animation of mine, so I though I would post a link for all.

I did this for a BBC2 ident project, well over a year ago now, so no crits please on the technical side, i'm ALOT better now. My idea was for it to be shown before band of brothers, but I got a bit carried away with the violence and I don't think it would be seen as appropriate.

Uhhhh Maybe cause Band of Brothers was about the paratroops??? :rolleyes:

No but seriously, it's a nice animation with a bit of a "worms" feeling. I mean, the bloodstain in the shape of a 2 is pretty neat.

Only thing that bothered me was the way the 2 people stopped ( walking, hopping, moving around :p) before they started shooting.

Cheers guys! Yeah it’s a bit rough around the edges, but I did this before I could even animate a walk cycle!

if I did it now I would have 100's of 2's marching up the beach and I would make it even more like saving private Ryan. UK talkers will appreciate this most because they will know what BBC2 idents are like.

i like it :buttrock:,they could get away with it on channel 4 but i think its a little violent for BBC2:hmm:

yeah, or maybe a dodgy sky channel, but the BBC wouldnt see the funny side.

anyway, i'm glad you guys enjoyed it, even if it is a bit basic.

ROFL that was hilarious. It has a Medal of Honor / Saving Private Ryan feel to it.
