Meshtools?

Under customise, enter a new tool bar name (Meshtools) - then simply drag each function from the list available on to that new toolbar.

Then click save and you're good to go :D

I find Meshtools very very useful.

Along with CSPolyTools (http://www.3dluvr.com/subagio) - they beef max's poly modelling so that it can compete with the other apps out there for versatility and speed.

Those are the tools I (regularly) use the most.

i wouldnt even have taken up polymodeling as my main modeling procedure were it not for meshtools.. believe me it makes polymodeling so much easier , intutive and above all .. fun

Definitely a must have (MeshTools and CSpolytools)... and dont forget that you can put them in quads too. That's my fav.

ok.... i really cannot put none of the two working !!! what do i have to do???
i unzip the file csPolytools 1.0, and put all the files in the correct folder... ( i run in Max4.2 ) i did the same for meshtools but nothing work's... can someone do me a drawing?? a step by step procedure in order not to have this big headache ???:annoyed:

Ok, first of all... a lot of people dont know that a script/plugin that has the .mzp extention is a installer. You just run these from within max like a script (run script) and it installs the files automatically.

First, copy all the contents of the meshtools into the correct folders in your root max dir. Then start max and go to customize ui and see if you can see the category (meshtools) in the list. If you can then that's installed properly. Now all you have to do to install csPolyTools is run that .mzp like a script... Voila!!

Restart Max...

Go back to customize ui and put the scripts in a toolbar, quad or assign to a keyboard shortcut.

Oh I forgot.... if you downloaded csPolyTools and it saved it as a .zip just rename the extention to .mzp

Insanelight, most of the functionality of MESHtools only are available in editable POLY mode, they should really be called POLYtools like the later of the 2. These are great scripts no maxxer should be without!:beer:

I can find meshtools in customize UI and I made a toolbar but when I drag the actions to the toolbar I get nothing --> see pic.
Is it also possible to make a tap with meshtools.
Or a menu
So I keep as little bar as possible in my screen.

I don't think the icons are available in the DARK max screen setup, try using 1 of the grey screen set ups and see if that helps.

naa, it's not the dark interface. Just put the icons from the meshtools zip into BOTH icon dir.

I did put them in both discreed and Icon but it idin't help.
So maybe I check out the gray version. But that will be tomorow now it is time o sleep.:shrug:

I don't know why but it worked this time. I'm sure of it that I restarted max before I went to the Custimize UI. But what the hell it worked now.

I only have one problem not all the buttons fit the tab panel and I don't want it to float in the air because I Like tho have as much vieuwport as possible.
Can this be helped?

It is that I only have a problem. I don't know what can be done with meshtools. Someone told me thet it was very handy and that I schould download it. And second I didn't had time to check out what it does. I think I can work on it next week got some test comming up. So thanks for your help.

Amazingly fast, amn.
Are there more things you can make with freehand tools exept crass and toothpaste?
