Hi all,
I invite you all to surf over to my new website and download my latest animated short entitled "Tpical Male Robot Behavior". It's about a character named Marty who's luck runs out in a local space pub.
It runs about 6 minutes and is a 30 MB DIVX .avi.

Pour a coffee, slap on the headphones, crank the volume - and enjoy!

WOW!!! Very good work! Did you do it all yourself. I love the outros ...freakin funny :applause: This is definatley worth the download. Some of the comedic timing is off like once or twice but the animation is real good and the story moves along well too. Great camera work....you lead the audience to key parts in the story. I liked it alot. Great work. Give us a bit more background on the project. How long did it take you to complete?

Amazing work man. This has got to be one of my favorite animated shorts ever. The characters are all very unique and their personalities are great. The music flows with the animation perfectly, and the camera shots are varied and well done. Also the environment at the bar is very nice.

Best of all its damn funny, and the language is a nice touch.
You've inspired me to get up off my ass and get to work.

Very nice job, look forward to more.

That was sweeeeeet :D Love it to bits! Really good animation.

Good choice of music too!

Great job, got any more shorts up your sleeve? I'd love to see more... :)

Btw, the way the sound... er... sounds in the outro makes me think of a dubbed chinese flic. Don't ask me why, but it does :)

5 stars from me too!

Haha, that's excellent work! Great camera angles, I liked how it switched over to Marty's POV in particular. The robot voices were a unique touch as well, they blended nicely with the characters.

And I see you did visual effects for Dark Angel to top it off! You're my hero ;)

Really funny! It's already made it's round here at work ;)
My only crit is the timing. Like 3Dflasher mentioned it's a bit off some times with the gags. With a bit more tightening up there I think it could be another cult 3D piece, just alongside Tripping the Rift and the Singing Alien. It's got the memorable characters for it. Great stuff!

Hey guys
Thanks for all of the positive feedback. It seems that CGtalk is THE place to hang out and post work. I've already crushed my bandwidth just posting here in the forum.

Special tidbits and extras - just for cgtalk...

The bar name 'Eeebs' when the sexy bot walks by, is the name of another short that I've written called "The business of Eeeb Hill".

Quick flash message when Marty reads his paper. The top line reads "WB tells the Iron Giant - on the marketing of his movie,
640k ought to be enough for anybody". The center photo is of the Iron Giant with a tear in his eye.

When the ships fly off, the guys fly off to Mars and the chicks fly off to Venus. (oooo what a statement).

Marty likes the finger gag. He gives a subtle middle finger in the end joystick credit when his head is being spun.

Thanks again guys.
Keep me bookmarked. I'll be posting drawings and storyboards of my next one really soon.

Excellent work...I have a question about some of the sound work....how did you generate the voice for the ugly bot...sounds like the effect for 9d9 in Return of the jedi....

GReat short...laughed my ass off, very inspiring!
