Hi ! ;)
As this is my very first post here I hope it wont't be a too silly question, but I searched in the help and on this forum and I didn't find how to solve my problem.

I am currently doing a space scene and I'm using omni lights with lens effect in order to obtain some big stars in the background. I put some other omnis to have glowing reactors to.
So I have a lot of lights in this scene. Of course, as they are only use to obtain some nice effects, they don't enlighten anything, so I excluded all my objects.
As my scene was nearly completed I wanted to add more objects. But all new object I create/copy is lit up by all the "decorative" omnis I put.
My problem is that I couldn't find a way to exclude these objects from the light without selecting each light manually, one after another.
So I was wondering if there was a way to automatise this process. I tryied the H key with the "include/exclude" tool, but I can't select more than one light at the same time...

Hey alianor-

yeah excluding objects from lights can be a real pain in the a$$ sometimes. If all your lights are instances then you can include/exclude just by choosing one light. If the are all unique lights then you will most likely have to go through one by one and exclude your objects.

Blur also has some great lighting tool scripts that may help you out a lot. I used a bunch of them when I was working as a lighter for a tv series and they helped me out immensely. You may want to check them out.

Thanks for your help !
Unfortunatly, I downloaded "Lightboy" from blur and it doesn't seem to help much. This is some kind of simplified "light lister", so I still can't select more than one light at the same time and it doesn't show the "include/exclude" property.
But thanx anyway !
I think you're right : it will be a real pain in my [bip] ! :p Next time I will pay more attention : i'll instance my lights instead of simply copy them...
