that's pretty cool stuff you got there. no crits except for one question: what's up with the texture in the middle of the guitar? (don't know how to call it, think you know what I mean, it's pretty obvious) it looks like you mirrored a texture or something, there is a very clear seam there... Guess you intended it that way?
four stars from me

Yeah... I'd assume that that's intentional. I've seen alot of guitars like that.
Awesome guitar. Very real-to-life.

most guitars that are 'bookmatched' have this look.. it is only when you have two lmost perfectly matching pieces of wood (cut on edge, then but on facing edges) that you may get a 'ten-top'.
since the cut and planing and sanding of the wood usually give you 2 slighty diffferent angles of the grain, ten-tops are very rare, and usually quite expensive.
excellent model! maybe use a slight bit less dof? it makes it look a little 'small'. kinda like a miniature in a macro shot.
great work, i have always had the damndest time modelling any of my instruments.

I love it. The modeling and render are beautiful. I'd spend just a little more time on the material for the top wood. The bookmatched wood texture looks a little unnatural to me (high contrast and maybe frequency) . And the specular highlight on the top is very spread out where I believe it should be tighter. And if you could give it the illusion of the top clear layer having some thickness that would be truly amazing. But I haven't looked closely at a Les Paul in quite a while so you might be closer to the real thing than what I remember.
Awesome work. It looks good enough to play. Oh, some scratches and fingerprints are always a nice touch.
Cheers,
Dan
