Hello everyone!

I have written a little helper plugin that will sort your multi-pass image sequences into sub folders, thus getting a much cleaner folder structure.
Also it makes deleting, replacing or copying specific passes much easier and you can simply drag the resulting folders into After Effects to import them as image sequences.
I find it pretty useful so I thought I'd share.
Further instructions are included in the zip -> http://www.kollender.com/plugins/SeqSort.zip

Cheers,
Johannes

*UPDATE*
I finally had the time to make my little plug non-modal, so you can now continue working while the sequences are sorted in the background. It's not production tested like the previous version and so far I've only run it on a PC, but from what I've seen so far everything works as expected.
Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Is there any way this could run in the background or as its own process? While useful, it completely ties up my C4D until it's done.

It's definitely possible to program it, so it runs in the background. The old modal vs. non-modal dialog thing :)
Because non-modal dialogs are somewhat harder to program I have settled for the easier way for now, but if I have some time on my hands I might go the extra mile.
To be honest I hope that Maxon will just give us a render-to-subfolders option in one of the upcoming versions, that will make my silly little tool obsolete, but I might just be a dreamer .

nice tool, but i'm pretty sure even After Effects will be able to see image sequences as one file like Nuke does in the upcoming version... i hope windows will be able to do so as well in the future :)

I wouldn't cry for my plug if Adobe/Maxon made it happen :)
With windows though I wouldn't hold my breath. The average user doesn't even know what an image sequence is and even Apple seems clueless about the needs of their professional users (Quicktime X *cough* *cough*).

Excellent plugin, sorely needed by default in C4D! Why can't Maxon wrap their heads around this concept?
