Hey guys,

I've been working in the industry as a rigging TD and have been working on some animation lately. Just wondering if this walk is working out!

Cheers!

It looks really good.

My only concern is that at the end/start of every walk-cycle the hands changes speed for a frame or to.
(Left hand forward and right hand back.)

This is probably becouse the hands move on after the arm stops. Check the infinity and make sure that the spline with the "unnecessary" key is smooth.

I found that copying the stats of one hand then moving it down half a walkcycle then just cycle it in pre and post infinity.

Strong walk huh lol I'm noticing that when the green arm is swinging back it kind of stalls before finishing its arc, also the hips feel like they do the same thing on its Y rotation. Could be your lines need to be smoothed out in the graph editor a bit more, still a pretty good walk cycle...

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I agree, I need to do something about the arms and hips at the end. Their curves just sort of smooth out to a halt. A buddy of mine pointed out that the legs should stay more extended when they are at the front as well. I'll get to work on those changes :)

Thats a very dynamic walk! Haha. You might want to try offsetting the torso and hips a bit for a bit more sway and having a bit more impact on the ground (ie. shake the knees a bit). He is however hammering the ground with that foot like hes squashing a million ants with every step. I would say less lift on the foot. Also, the arms are swinging pretty far forward and back. For a cartoony Shaggy Doo type this works great! But I think if I were to walk like that I might get tired pretty damn quick. So I suppose that kinda depends on the look you are going for.

To keep the motion symmetrical theres a neat way to do it where you actually animate both side at the same time then offset the keys and copy paste for a loop. If you want to see an example of what I mean I have a workflow tut that might be able to help with some tips and tricks. Nothing fancy, just to keep it at a nice even pace.

Check out the run one for an example of what I mean: http://animatedgaming.blogspot.com/p/workflow-tutorials_17.html

Hope that helps! I cant wait to see it finished!
