Hi there!
I'm in a project where I'm supposed to model a huge building with tons of lamps attached all over the surface. Only problem is, the director doesn't know which kind of lamps to go for yet, but want to see examples of the building covered with different types of lamps, and then make a choice from that.
I'm instancing the lamps, and is looking for a mel-script that can help me replace the instance geometry, so I don't have to re-positioning them every time I try out new types of lamps, much like this script here for Max:
http://www.creativecrash.com/3dsmax/downloads/scripts-plugins/utility-external/misc/c/instance-replace?os=windows
Would be very grateful If anyone could direct me to find such a script working for Maya 2009!!
cheers :)
