We are in, again :)

This time we plan to illustrate the story a bit - do it in maybe 4 shots (ships travelling, ships landing, carnival construction and final sunrise). For building shot we want something like 'timelapse' effect, with camera spinning around :) about 90 (maybe bit more) degrees.

Few days ago we shot the locations, one for the travelling ships , and one for the rest - last one is 180 degrees panoramic shot (to allow camera movement). Both were shot in sunny day, so there was some extensive color correction needed to make them look 'nightly', as well as some more edition, like removing unwanted elements, sky replacement, and such.

Those pictures are great but I think you should give it a little touch of blue to make it more natural.

The images still look like day shots. Try pulling out the highlights in the image, and darkening the midtones. Good luck to you!

uhhh, are you crazy? they look substantially less like stuff shot during the day than I'm used to... they even removed where the sun shined in through the trees on that road.

yeah but hes right, those pictures still have uniform brightness like there is a full moon out only without the deep shadows,

a little work in pshop adjusting the levels to give it a darker feel.

I think this is supposted to be scary :D

And these pictures are great, if it would be any darker it would destroy the feeling...

I respect your speed in getting the plate done early on. Although I do agree with the concensus of a bit of blue in the highlight areas and some greater contrast. Nice all in all though.

Lets see some concept or models. Looking forward to the final comp, but the progress is the most exciting part. I hope you guys will find time to drop some more post with your carnival ideas to help get the vfx forum going a little.
