Im having a bit of a problem texturing the wall in the picture. The textures have been applied using the planar map technique in either the z or x direction. However in a few areas as you can see in the picture the texture doesnt line up. I tried fixing the problem in the uv texture editor but couldnt figure it out. please let me know if you can help. thanks.

It looks like your geo needs to be repositioned within your UV layout. Either that, or compensate for the shift in the texture itself.

The problem lies with the fact that a planar mapping is projecting your uvs from an orthographic view. The insets of the windows have perspective to them and their perspective isn't canceling out because of a planar map. The best thing to do is select each of the faces on those insets of the windows and planar map those individually. Windows like that are pretty tricky to lay out UVs without getting distortion in your texture. You could just planar map them individuallyand then use the Layout UV function and keep scale ratio. That would be your best bet since you have such a defining line going across.
