View Full Version : Feathered/anti-aliased edges in decals?
Hookflash 09-01-2003, 04:43 AM I've been creating decals in PaintShop Pro 8. I save them as tgas with an alpha channel & a transparent background. The problem is, PSP adds a white background to the transparent areas of the image when it's saved (I suppose it's a limitation of the targa format). While the alpha channel works as expected in A:M, the white background shows through the feathered edges of my decal (ie, where the alpha channel isn't 100% transparent/opaque). Is there any way around this? Should I just avoid feathered/anti-aliased edges in decals? Thanks

You should flatten your file and extend the color of your decal beyond the alpha channels edges before you save it.
That's all.
