You need a good computer at least 1,4 Mhz, i removed 722 KB of Effects (moving robots and so on) that you dont need a 2,6 Ghz Computer.

The completed site is at www.area51inter.net but i will improve also some small things. It was a lot of work and because of that fact i want to hear CRITICS ! The next webdesign of my person will also be a lot of work, because of that i want to avoid design or flash, layout.... problems.

Raise your voice and give some critics to me ;-)

A few Critiques:

1) On the Front Page, your flash movie is not lined up with the rest of your graphics (when viewed on a Mac, IE). Something small in your HTML is throwing it off. That is easily fixed by tweaking code.

2) What is the theme of your site? Is it a Frat Party site? Maybe some type of "point" would help centralize your intial graphic onslaught.

3) Your renderings are cool, but need to be more aliased.

4) And lastly (don't get pissed), you need to design your page. Rendering a hyper techno thingy, then throwing it on a black background is kinda half hazard.

Design your site taking into account: Color symmetry, Element Symmetry, typography, navigation, and of course "Concept".

You could really do some cool design using the rendered pieces you have. But don't let them dictate your design. Split them up into elements that support your design, not establish it.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just giving you an honest critique, similar to the one's we gave eeach other in Design School.

Thanks for your constructive Critics. I am listening to such words, because i want to improve my skills. You are not mean, you are telling only your state of oppinion, I accept.

I hope you will enjoy my next design, i am working on it at the moment, but it will cost me some time, because its no commission, its a private project !

The optic fits exactly to the topic, its a total spaced internetcafe, with a lot of technique and aliens standing around, so far the design hits the point

- The typographie of the page is allrigt at the moment ;-)
- The navigation is designed very easy, because in this detailed design you should find it immediatley.
- The start page fits exactly on my pc. Can you send me a screenshot or the code line to make it fit exactly ?

The flash site:

That's quite outstanding it terms of the details :)

However the graphics all seem to be a bit edgy. Or it's just probably my computer going funny :D

The text at the top "Area 51" doesn't seem to fit in with the other font types.

Don't get me wrong, but this is just my opinion.

I canīt change the Fond of the Area51, because thatīs the logo, but i am talking to them at the moment to change the Area51 logo, a new corporate design by myself ;-)

You can see the whole page on www.area51inter.net

The page is a constant development of critiques ;-) The pages improvements were based on the critics of an old page from my person:

Man, I wish I had free time to produce my site.

I designed the initial front page eons ago, but haven't had anytime to animate all my screens.

I guess working full time as a designer, teaching a Photoshop Class, and running a side business has taken its toll (not to mention mowing the lawn and watching SEC Football/NFL Football).

The only issue I have is the interface takes away from the rest of the site, since its so complex in my opionion a website should be a vessel to its content, noe vice versa, I usually try and work with those restrictions, and try and be creative with that. just my opinion :)

I would of simplified it alot, :)

I donīt understand some of your critics. The menue looks totally different than the complex structure of the background design, in fact this was designed to help the visitor, there is a difference between navigation and Background, so you can see immediately, where the menue is.

An older page of myself got the critique, that they cant find the menue and it has to be a lot of comfortable.

Here the page:

Its linked by a person, who wanted to show my page on his page:

http://www.mgst.de/ho3/www.davidholy.com/index.html

Youīll find it also on my homepage but an older version ;-(
