Hi peoples.

Thought I would join this comp. Firsty I want to try and keep away from the cookiecutter mushroom cloud (really big dome cloud) and go for a smaller yet very turbulent effect.

Information:

Application: Houdini
Uniform sampling of the Voxel grid: 200 samples
Standard shading at the moment
No point clouds created yet for inner lighting of the fluids

Wants:

A slightly larger mushroom head
Resizing of the voxel container to stop fluid clipping on the sides.
Creation of the floor fluids
Creation of the dynamic clouds (as the head bursts though the upper atmo)
Creation of the pre-cursor (very strong dynamics winds)
Creation of buildings
Shattering of buildings to be copied onto particles to be "blown away"
Props
Textures

Also flipbook of sim at the moment (before tweaking)

Well after some time playing around, I could'nt get the initial look I wanted, so I had to go for the more generic look (the look I didn't really want). Trying to get the look I wanted with the simulation times was not working out so good.
So I have gone for the more generic mushroom-cloud look. However the older the sim gets the more original it looks.
Sim time stands at around 6 hours (thats writing to disc as .sim files, stands at 7.41GB at the moment). This update is a flipbook at the moment and not a render, as it's taking a lot longer to render a frame than it is to write a .sim file. So thats an overnight render that is needed.
When the point-clouds are generated rendertimes will get even longer :/ Hey-ho :)
