View Full Version : How to De-stabilise in Combustion
Hi folks, i made a post yesterday trying to get help matching a matte background to a hand held video clip, - i have now managed to stabilize the footage using 2 points, then I added a mask then my background, but now how do i get my motion back onto the whole shot - i belive this is reffered to as de-stabilisation. Oh and I'm using Combustion.
Thanks
P.s. Here's an example of what i mean using digital fusion.

You should have just tracked the Matte background to the handheld shot. It would have been easier, I think.
Anywho.... You can always use your hand held shot as a reference for the track of your composition. Doing this you will return the original jerkiness.
Not only do you have a stabilizer in Combustion, but you also have a tracker.
Cheers but a little vague though, Yes, I could have tracked the matte to the shot, but that doesn't give me the rotation and zoom ..... or does it? I'll retry this with just a tracked matte. Thanks again
