hey guy, this is freakin crazy stuff i've ever seen.....great lighting, nice cam moves and cuts......sweet animation........what compositing tool did u use??? u should send your film to some fastivals or somethin......i bet u'll get some responce.........

and i'm surprized there are no replys here......ppl u must see this stuff......c'mon guys..........

really nice work dude.totaly agree with smokedaddy.5 stars for sure.i liked the lighting and the way he stops his bike.nice voice of the character.the most hilleriouse part was his grave.lol.

yes...i also have webspace which vfs provided me when i was there.....i was in maya class 08.....i had lot of complains downloading the stuff from VFS space.....anyways, thats what i have rite now......would be great if anybody can do me a favour giving some space......

Hello.

interesting to see package man resurface in this fashion. Are we now in the age of CG cameos? :applause: :applause: It was quite a cool shot - I like the grainy camera filters. I think its a bit of a pity that it isn't funnier. Good work killing him though! Can I just say I thought there was a missed oppourtunity in there to do some particle effect (smoke blowing and interacting with package man) in that one shot. There was also another shot of package man facing the camera and I thought the shadows were too dark. That's it.

hi guys,

thanx for your positive responces...i didnt have lot of time to do all the particle effects.....i thought of doing it at one point but then i got busy in another shoot.....more-over i started this short with a single test of compositing but then i saw it coming up very nicely so i kept doing it in my spare time and finished it within 7 to 9 days......

anyway, i didnt expect that this short will get this much positive responce and i'll try to put more details in my next short.

AWESOME, u can make a ton of money from that, in canada, do they show those truth commersials about smoking, if not u could talk to them and try and use that in a commercial, it be sweet, u'd make a bunch of money, i rekon

you can contact them thru thetruth.com (http://www.thetruth.com) , maybe you can tell them what u've made, and then tell them you'd be willing to sell them rights to use it or something, i'd like to see that on tv, and think, wow, what an awesome commercial (and gave the dude the idea to get it on there)

no problem, the thing i noticed with that site i sent you tho is that, when you do the contact thing, it isn't like it brings up ur email program (ie outlook), but a form to send short messages. maybe you can find some other way to contact them, i'd definitely send my email address in case they want to contact you.

firefirst566 : i dont know anything about lightwave but i think the fundamental would be the same for all 3d tools we are using....i did this one in maya.....i like maya live personally.....did all the match moving in live and did lighting......composited live footage and cg in after effects.....thats about it....the proccess should be the same for lightwave.......

ya that striping animation was done by goosh.....the rigger of this character........it was pretty awesome........i just took this character as it looks so frustrated all the time........whenever i see him, he looks funny,angry,frustrated hero of some low budget feature film.......lol.....

anyways but he is a good creation of "Bob"&"Goosh"

good stuff there man, I specially love the snappy animation on the character....good compositing...supported by some nice music.
Nice concept too...

A little more noise on the CG character could have helped a bit more in the composite..

hi kethy thats a great idea switching to maya......its much easier than max as i've used max in past.....its really hard to do character animation in max....well i found it tough.....

i was in vancouver for a year......was in VFS....got back here in last january.....i have couple of friends in toronto and they said its not a good market in canada.....is it true???? anyway...it'll take a while

how was ur time at vfs? was it all worth it.....?

i'm a 26 yr old animator working here in tata elxsi's Visual Computing Labs...Bangalore ( company just got featured in Studio Systems magazine ) ....was working in max earlier....still like that software...but at work we use maya......it's a nice software......and i like the way it navigates.....surely faster than max....( hate to admit it )

havent seen ur short yet....but i assume its gotta be kick ass....with the kinda response u been getting...

ahmdabad...mmm that place is awesome and kills Blore inside out for its free lifestyle....the multiplexes kick ass there....my wife's from there....was there last month...had i seen this post earlier....i wud have luvd to meet u and share ideas.......

my fav part in cg - is match-moving (involving character animation ).....
tho i'm not from any arts background ( b'com ) ..i'm learning the nuances...it's fun......

did u manage to sell it yet....?

coz of the camera shake cud'nt really figure much where u used live! .......but hardly matters cvoz its still neat......

Really really great, wow, only beef is yeah, I agree with some needed particle FX during the motorcycle scene, also, I think the color on the character is too saturated when he is on that table, especially right near the end where he drops dead.
