View Full Version : Object: sony headphones
danniesanchez 08-31-2003, 07:14 AM Well, i dont know how finished this really is, this is my 4th model, first non-tutorial, or just make a glass table kinda thing. I don't know much about making shaders or whatnot, but this is the end result, and the only proof that i made it. original model was lost in pc hard drive crash.

very nice model dude!! can u post another image from a different view or pose ?
ok im kind of split in half...one half loves the plastic look and the pose and the other hates it =) its a bit too plastic actually but if that's your style it's pretty cool :) :applause:

oh no... crash you said? :(
what a pitty, coz it would be a pleasure to see your model with modified shaders and perhaps in an environment - or on a plain white plane instead.
though the model is nice

yea, i know. i really wanted to work on it once i got to know how make shaders better. All i did was apply a material to it. i had planned on adding the spiral cord and some wrinkles to the cushions and so on... the most annoying part is i planned on making a desk with just a bunch of my stuff modeled. Now i have to start from scratch.
also, remember that the headphones actually are made of plastic that supposed to look metalic. i've yet to see sony metal headphones.
Anways, I really appreciate the critiques. :) I had to teach myself maya, but now i'm a student studying it, so i hope to have more stuff to show soon. :)

The colors are too dark and the black part of the speakers need a better bump map since they are soft and squeezy. Sorry for the bad english. :) And also the shiny surfaces on y and z coordinates are not needed.
