hey dosn't maya have an instance like max?

LIke if I was modeling one side of a head and the other side of the model would auto copy while I'm editing and tweeking on the side i'm modeling in. :scream:

Edit > Duplicate > Option box
Lots of copy/duplicate parameter there, including instance :)

Yep, it's under Edit->Duplicate Options. Change Geometry Type to Instance. You are going to have to make the scale of the object to -1: first box is x, 2nd y, 3rd z. Just change the scale to -1 depending on which plane you have modeled in and leave the other too the same. Hope that helps.

Shaded lighting : select lighting > use all lights (or press 7)
Rendered lighting : use IPR
:)
