Disclaimer: This post is put under collaborative team projects due to its current lack of funding, though the company is in talks with potential investors, resulting in possible cash flow in the near future. Thus, positions with our company can likely result in proper, paid employment within a few months.

Broken Attitude Studios is a new game development studio based in New York City. The current project underway is a fantasy fiction based adventure-rpg to be submitted for approval and publishing on the next generation of home console systems in 2005/2006.

In addition to our large undertaking for consoles, we have already begun to finalize our first project, a puzzle genre game for cell phones. There will likely be more cell phone games done in the future to further the company's portfolio as a credible developer.

We are looking for dedicated team members for our art department who have a love for videogames and have a flair for dark, serious overtones in their artwork.

The following positions are available:

CHARACTER MODELER

Description:
Must be able to model characters based off of existing concept art. Must be able to build convincing 3D renditions using between 4,000 and 7,000 poys (tris)

Requirements:
2+ years experience in Maya or 3D Studio Max
University/College degree

Preferences:
Previous videogame industry experience
Able to UV map and texture own character models

ENVIRONMENTAL ARTIST/LEVEL DESIGNER

Description:
Must be able to model buildings and miscellaneous scenic items (carts, wagons, barells, trees, etc) as well as implement them into the level editor for proper map placement.

Requirements:
2+ years experience in Maya or 3D Studio Max
Familiarity with popular level editors (Unreal Editor, Quake 3 Radiant Editor, etc)
University/Collgege degree

Preferences:
Previous videogame industry experience

TEXTURE ARTIST

Description:
Must be able to make UV maps and texture Character Models and Scenery/Object Models

Requirements:
2+ years experience in Photoshop
Must use own images for textures
University/College degree

Preferences:
Previous videogame industry experience

ANIMATOR

Description:
Must be able to rig character models and animate them.

Requirements:
2+ years experience in Maya or 3D Studio Max
University/College degree

Preferences:
Previous videogame industry experience

General application/job information:

At this time, relocation is not necessary. Yet, when the company establishes its new office (date to be determined based off investments put into the company), we will try to centralize most of our staff for production efficiency.

Applicants must provide both a portfolio and a resume at time of application. Animators must have a demo reel to present online.

Modelers will be required to take a test once application is submitted based off of concept art.
