I'm not sure if this ever made it to the news section, but for a long time you have had to request a demo CD from newtek for an eval version of LW. I've recently found out that its now also available for download:

Hey thanks for the link. I'd just about given up on trying lightwave. Downloading now ...

I never understood why it was so hard to get the DE for lightwave. I mean, the cynic in me says, perhaps they want your money before you get to find out what it's like. I realise it's a love/hate thing with LW, and I'm very keen to find out what it is about LW that gets people's blood flowing.

You really can't fault the quality of what's "possible" with LW, but perhaps you have to have a genetic predisposition for LW to work for you , and NT don't want anyone to know. :shrug:
