I'm in!

After thinking a lot about what to do for the challenge, I decided for my first option:

I'll try to model as many of Dr Grordbord's series of rayguns as posible.

First one looks killer! Loving the design, and the execution.

Your model is looking great indeed, I agree with Daezd about some of the hard edges tho, maybe a little chamfer on those, just a little and its perfect. Just my 2 cents :) Keep up the good work.

aha, the next model on the menu is looking way more cool and challenging. Very curious to see what the next level will be.

Are you gonna texture and shade them? I know that's not a part of the challenge, but the first gun wasn't really that of a challenge.
Maybe you can do some sculpting on it for the bump, and use it as displacement. That count's for this modeling challenge.

waiting to see the next step.

Thx for the comments! :)

aoseven and DaezD: yes I noticed that when you commented. Mostly the grip, I'll probable redo that part with a higher poly count.

Nothingness: Yes, I plan on texture them if I have time

Some advance on the Moon Hater, I focused on the base so there is not a lot to see:

I'm modelling the Saturn 17 Raygun, from this print:

http://i43.tinypic.com/25ro36q.jpg

I'm no going to do the cutaway, only the external view (top-right corner of the picture)

I don't think I'll finish it on time, but I'm doing it mostly to learn more about subdiv modelling.
