View Full Version : WIP statue head
artemesia66 08-30-2003, 01:51 AM Hi all,
This is a statue that i'm doing for a larger still life. it's my first head. it's not going to be animated, but i took a crack at getting the topology right. :hmm:
comments to improve her resemblance to the source image, or on the topology would be extremely helpful.

That's pretty darned close. Impressive, especially for a first try. The main areas that could use some touching up are the eyes. Your model's eyes are pretty droopy compared to the reference. The nose also looks a little sharp, but that could be the lighting.

Yep, looking pretty good, I agree with Adam, the eyes and the nose. Very nice first go at it! -- 3d_e

update:
fattened the nose, adjusted the eyes and put on the ear.
ears are hard.
i'd still love feedback on the topology too.

you know the top two images are my references, right? ;) and the lower ones are my pitiful attempts at emulating it.

LOL--i've thought that a couple of times, especially working on the dratted ear.
