View Full Version : Cannot have a '666' in my username?

The reason this annoys me is I generally have my username on forums as Richard7666 (Iron Maiden fan, you see), this keeps it easy to remember.

This wasn't mentioned anywhere I could tell in the ToS and I spent a good 15 minutes wondering why on earth I kept getting 'invalid username' trying to sign up until it occurred to me that it could possibly be construed as offensive? Basically just wondering if I'm correct in this assumption, and there's anything I can do about it

Thanks

I have no idea why you were getting an error, it's certainly not a censored term here. I've changed it manually in the database for you.

UP THE IRONS :buttrock:

I'm a diehard Maiden fan too, for over 16 years now. Favourite band of all time. Can't wait to see them at Sonisphere Festival this summer!!

Actually 666 is banned from usernames. Not sure why but its been in the code since before my time.
