... And for some critique:

IMO the first attemt on creating the floor was way better, I'm kinda frustrated now 'cause of that MAX default fence texture (or wooden wall... ) So the first one is cool, recent one is not so cool. :cool:

About the modelling: The player could use some more sub-d iterations, some closeups reveal the polys, and on the last image, the segmentation of the side is clearly visible.
I've already said all bout the composition and I didn't came across anything else, so the arrangement could be a bit better.
Oh, yes... and: put the last Nightwish album in front of the player, above all the other CDs, 'cause IMO the painting on it(here B&W...) is pretty darn cool.
Thats all from me than. Good job.
Keep it up, I'd like to see it by the finished works here... :D

Thanks Aldaryn the critiqeu... If you look under the picture you can find a little sentence: "(The modells are lowpoly...)"
it's a render test... In the finished work will be meshsmooth, sudbdiv iterations...

I have an idea!!!!! (But i don't tell you:))

IMO the model needs some refining, but look at my status indicator:I'm a"Useless, talenteless Jerk"! ;)

Thanks for the wires, but if this is low poly, I think I stuck a few years back...

C&C: The edges are a bit too hard, some edge extruding could do something good, however, IMO extruding edges now would be masochism because of those booleans. And aso cause of the booleans the topology needs to be fixedup a bit around some critical areas, like that hole on the siede. Edge loops are missing a link. :D

Hi Youth!

Nagyon jó maga az mp3 player csak szerintem a cd-k állása valahogy furcsa. Olyan bután állnak ott egymásra pakolva a Nightwish cd-k, sokkal jobb lenne ha esetleg egy nyitott mûanyag vagy vászon tokban lennének, mert nem sokan pakolnak egy ilyen durva faasztalra eredeti cd-ket. Tetszik az faasztal mintázata csak maga az ötlet nem hogy egy mp3 lejátszó egy ilyen asztalon legyen, de ha már faasztal akkor szerintem legyen egy kissé puhább, lágyabb beütése, de az igazság az hogy én valami stílusosabb asztalt választanék, (pl.: üveg, rusztikus acél ). De a lejátszó nagyon tetszik, és a textúrája is nagyon el van találva.

Ha a következõ mûved még ennél is jobb lesz akkor: reszkess cg awards:thumbsup:

I really like your work...fish is great too.

Just this.. Try to use other wood texure because this one was seen a hundred times.. And it comes with max.. It will be more efective when you find something new or make one by yourself

I'd say it looks pretty damn real man...
I want to say something about the spectaculer of the materials...seems like the spec should be sharper,but I guess its so close that it wouldnt make much differance.
I dont know Max so I cant say if a point light would help or not.

No kidding, if you don't post it now into the Finished galery, I'm coming over... :annoyed:

Truly realistic now. Only the geometry lacks some adittional detail, but I've said that before, and after I've got the modell, I've highlighted the modelling mistakes. But those aren't visible in any render of yours, so, they matter only little... :D
By the way, the wooden texture kicks ass, adds *tons* to the realism! Just compare it with the older renders... isn't it funny...
