View Full Version : UV Sets
Bpanting 08-29-2003, 07:11 PM I am trying to texture a parking lot using multiple uv sets for the striping. I have a base texture that is the pavement and I am trying to use a layered shader with stripes for the parking spots. I can get one lane to come in OK, but when I try to do the next lane it comes out as one solid color. Not sure if I am not sure if I am explaining this very clear or not so here is a pic. Anyone Know what I am doing wrong?

Is there any reason why you couldn't use seperate geometry for he stripes? Layered shaders can be very expesnive during rendering so it may be less effeceint than a solution with extra geometry.

I suppose you have tried tweaking the texture placement on both shaders textures?

I guess that is going to be what I am going to have to do. I just wanted to figure out how to use uv sets, so there would not be a seem between the textures.

No I have not tried that but I am not sure if it going to work. I was messing around with it some more and I could not get two different uv sets to display the same shader on different faces. It was ok on one group but then when I tried to apply the same shader with a new UV set the firs one would disappear.
