View Full Version : Spline Cat Tail Questions

Hello all,

I am tryin to create an IK spline tail for a car i modeled. I have created the spline and clusters. These cluster seem to be moving the joints correctly; however the clusters are not moving with the rest of the rig. I am curious how should I get them to move with the rig, as well as letting the curves i have created select the clusters for animation (pain in the butt tryin to select the "c" for clusters.) I have attached a picture to hopefully give you an idea of what i am talking about.

ok, here i go:

Maybe you could avoid the 'c' by changing cluster´s HandleShape Weighted Node Attribute to some custom node (e.g a Locator or Curve).

About not moving with the rig, seems a hierarchy problem... Avoid that by using a point constraint.

Have you thought about doing this tail with some dynamic (e.g. particle goal to drive a chain of joints) ?

its a question of hierarchy, if you point constraint your clusters to curves, and then constrain your curves to the hips, it should follow the rest of the rig
