View Full Version : (how to) volume light coming throught clouds...

I want to create effect of volume light coming throught clouds...you know what I mean this kind of god fingers effect=).
I was trying to use dreamscape 3d clouds but voulme light doesn't work with that. Also creating box gizmo with volume fog in it as clouds plus volume light over it, doesn't work.

you could use directional lights with volume light on them, and just hand-place the lights where you want beams. maybe you could use a noise or speckle map on one large directional light to get multiple beams, although i can't remember if this actually works (give it a try and find out) :)
