View Full Version : Problem exporting on DV - big troubles

first of all i would like to apologize for my bad english

i'm not sure if it's the right section for this kind of problem but anyway.. i hope someone could help me.

i have some troubles with my music videoclip when it is time to export on DV tape. Once exported, the videoclip seems to be cutted at the edges (until now i exported to after effects, then i had to scale the video to 83% to be abble to see everything once exported to DV)

it's very anoying, i use 720*576 25fps (i'm on pal systems) i use everytime this format to edit and export with premiere (i mean all my footages by the end are at the right format 720*576 25fps), but i still don't understand why it cut edges once exported to dv.

please, help :blush:

What do you mean by cutting edges? Do you mean when you play it back on tv it cuts off a bunch? If so then you are not taking the video safe frame into account.

thanx for answering my question, i think it's about 'safe frame' i had read about it but i still didn't understand what it is about.

can you please explain how can i render with this safe frame option? (i'm using premiere when i export to DV)

i've just found it, it was on the monitor option in premiere, i changed the value to safe mode: 1% and title mode: 2%

i was asking myself why does my videoclip on DV was cutted :surprised
