i want to know of a technique using which i can have blurred shadows beneath my objects in a GI scene without having to show any plane object so that i can get a empty white look

u have to make a plane ... but assign a matte/shadow material to it ... then u can show only the shadow or reflection which will blend with the background and the actual plane will be invisible

Ahhhhh....I was rendering this image to show the result of a matte/shadow material on a plane. BooTy, ya beat me to the explanation. Oh well, might as well post this anyway.
