Hi guys,
Need some help here
OK what i have is a head composed of polygons
its a very detailed head , so the poly was smoothed, and thereofre there are a lot of points ,
what im trying to do is make the eye lid close
for blinking
however with so many points i find it impossible to do this

any ideas/auggestions before i forget the smoothing and turn it into a Sub D?

Thanks in Advance
Trev

use the non linear deformers, wire deformers and lattices.
also try using the proportional modification tool.
you might also want to go back to the rough versiojn and make the shapes then.
also you may want to try using the "connect poly shape" mel script...it is available at www.hiend3d.com it will make your poly similar to a sub divisional surface, but without the bugs.

You should really do your blendshapes before smoothing the object. If you still have your history, go back to the polysmooth node and set the divisions to 0, or delete it, and make your blend shapes.

I agree with Lyr on blendshapes before smoothing. If you're at the point of no return with the smoothed object, I'd recommend a simple cluster around the upper eyelid and another on the lower.

Then you can adjust the influence on the eyelid clusters so that they open and close smoothly.
