View Full Version : Argh!! Internet Explorer!!!
gmask 08-29-2003, 03:20 AM I had some adware blocker installed and I uninstalled it and one of the features was that it locked IE options to prevent webpages from messing with them. Anyway now that it's uninstalled I can't open the options because I don't have permission. Any suggestions on how to undo this?
TIA

What OS and IE version do you have?
You might have to log or have you IT person log on as administrator and give yourself permissions again. (not sure if this is your home pc or not)
Also you could try updating your IE if it is not the latest version. This might reset the permissions for the new version. Hope this helps.

I don't have a clue... Sounds weird to me.
Get Opera, it's better :P Oh well, Opera would probably do the same shit...

What kind of adware blocker software did you used to block ? :)
Ad-aware from Lavasoft or...?
If yes, then you should install it again to open your IE options

Oh it was Spybot - Search & Destroy that had the preference for locking the IE prefs.. it's fixed now that I have reinstalled it
