View Full Version : keyframe easy ease
wedge 05-20-2002, 09:25 PM i'm animating one of the podracers in my animation starting up... i need to have the turbine speed up from a stop. Is there a way I can have a two keyframes and have the turbine slowly start to move faster? i.e. keyframe at 0 degrees and then keyframe at 3600 degrees rotation, and have the turbine SLOWLY START SPINNING FASTER.
thanks!

You can adjust the curves in the graph editor to have a gradual increase.

what you could do, is set the keyframes where you want like, a key at frame 1, then set a key at frame 100 with the turbine rotated a lot i guess, then in the curve editor, make the curve gradually increase from a flat line.
the way the curves work is, a flat line means the object is not doing anything, a almost 90 degree line will go extremely fast. so you should make a gradually increasing line and then at the end of the animation the line should be pretty steep. if you want

just make the two key spline keys.
