Hi Kevin! Welcome to the sketchbooks forum. It's a good idea to open your own sketchbook; as I see, Loomis is always a good choice to start learning how our bodies works. I like the sketches of the women, but it would be interesting to know when you use references and when you don't use them. The studies of the parts of the body simplified in geometric shapes are a must (as you did with the head); remember that there's always a structure under a good figure drawing (more or less complicated).
Keep the practice going! Good work
Great start.
Can't think of any really good advice except keep doing what you are doing, it's looking very good.
Only thing that comes to mind is to try doing longer studies too. You have lots of good croquis here, but I think you need to do both fast and long studies to get this things into your backbone.

Hey man, thanks for commenting on my sketchbook. I really like the line work and hatching in #31. Also, the leg study is good, and the drawing of your mother is very expressive.
Thank you again.
Cheers and God bless.

Hey Kevin, nice work ! The details on your master studies are looking good but I'd keep an eye on proportions. Sometimes it can help even half way through a sketch measuring up certain key points just to test yourself. ie #34 ankle to knee, knee to hip, hip to shoulder etc Even if you don't change anything it helps your awareness for next time. Also it can be an interesting exercise to play around with scale. Filling a large A1 sheet with 1 drawing and then doing some tiny 10cm drawings can give a different perspective on things.
In #31 I really lack the way you've copied Durer's style.
The head practice and anatomy studies have obviously really helped you as I think this is your strongest area. The portraits of your Sister and Mother are great- everything fits together really well.
Keep it up !

Thank you Tonik.
I think it's the lack of time it's my problem when I start a copy master. Less 45min. For the durer copy I know it's bad, the beginning was good but I made some mistakes and that frustrate me. The pen bleed a lot I need to accustom with it.
I'll try soon another Durer and be more precise :) but it's not easy for me with pen because error don't forgive.
For the #31, you are right on the paper I could try on big paper, maybe that's why the legs are clipped ^^

your doing some nice work here..keep it up!
The sketches look very light..are you using a light pencil(hb or 2hb)?
kevline

thank you.
HB lead pencil but I think it's my fault on some pics and the photo too. Because in real if I do a black value the it's 80% than the black of the gray scale, it's not so far :) I tried to push contrast but it destroy the pic.
