Just wondering if any of you insiders have any detailed info, such as a fixed date, for the release of the 8.2 updater?

I reeeeeeally want to remap those camera navigation keys soon!

Now, I realize that the good folks at Maxon are german - meaning that we won't see the release until it's 100% solid, but I would love to get a set date to avoid wearing down my browser refresh button any further :D

Not bitching, just curious :)

I have gotten to where I am beginning to doubt Maxon "release dates" , I just wait till its here. eg the "1yr late or never" fbx plug .
Or maybe its (fbx plug) going to be included in the 8.2 update. :)

FBX isn't in 8.2.

8.2 does come with BP2.

What caught my attention most are:

1/ Arrows to navigate the Attributes Manager. Go back and forth through what has already been displayed
2/ A default light
3/ The stop tag now also works with deformers
4/ The UVW tag can lock an existing UV map
5/ Materials can be grouped

I suppose should be up any day now.

I see no reason why it should only be on the BP2 CD, and working. That's why I suppose it will also be on the website(s) very soon now.
Don't shoot me please as I can't bear to live with a hole in my UV map during monsoon season.

Also: I can't say anything for shure, but I sense something. For example the material popup that leaves a lighter shadow on the viewport, some small difficulties with selecting,...nothing big, but I hope it'll all work out fine.
