View Full Version : Assign hotkey to CPS

dont know whether this was being ask before, if it did, I apologise. I did search for it but come to no result.
Just want to know it is possible to assing hotkeys to CPS operation? Example: I want to assing hotkeys to Increase/Decrease SubD to selected geometry.
How to do that?

if you go into the hotkey editor, and create a new hotkey under "user" or the one like that, there should be an empty box that yo put your command into, jst find out what command that calls the "Increase SubD to selected" and you should be set
sorry i couldnt give you more detailed instructions. my computer with maya on it is down right now. so it was from memory.

yeah.. i kinda think of that..
but the problem is that, where or how to know which command were called for that particular operation? The script editor didnt show it..

im new to Maya here...

Did you enable "Echo All Commands" in the SE options?

lol yeah that would help if you did turn on Echo all (in case you didnt already) and that might be your prob.
or you could always go into shelf editor..or look at the script to see what the command might be called.
