I like it a lot, but the shell seems a bit sharp compared to the rest of the body, it might be a good idea to break it up a bit.

Also, have you used sss/transulency? The effect seems a bit strong for me, and the lighting on both pictures (esp. the second one, for a night-time shot) is a bit blown out.

Nice model!

Thanks I will keep those constructive critics,
The shel is like that because is still young tortoise not and old one though, younger tend to have sharper shells.

Thanks:

:)

no bad at all, but...yep the "house" is too sharp, maybe a little MTD would add some more "less sphere surface" to it!?!?

very beautiful. Your tutle sUURE is lazy to not move at all. Reminds me of my skanky housemate.

Is the second Night shot a photoshop job? The sub surface scattering is quite nice although it doesn't look real. The shell should be displaced a bit to make it more textural. It's pretty evident that its a bumpmap.

Very nice model!

i think the textures are bery good!.. but i think there is too much space in the "turtle house"...

Here are some references of shape, younger ones tend to be even more rounded.

Thanks luigi,

I will try to find some wires, and post them.
I tried to keep a round shape of the shell to give a cute aspect of the tortoise.

If I find time I will make another render for another view.
