View Full Version : Mac IIsi - is it worth keeping?
Kenzo77 08-28-2003, 07:59 AM Hello,
I just came into posession of a Macintosh IIsi for free. my friend who was the original owner back in the 80's and hasn't used it much. He asked me if I wanted it. Not sure if it's worth keeping.
Comes with a "DeskWriter Printer" an Apple color High Res RGB monitor, the OS is System 7, not sure about the processor speed
Just thought someone here might have an opinion.
Should I use it, sell it, or trash it?
Thanks,

I have the same problem with my commodore 64. I'm currently using the monitor for a bedroom tv. I know the computer isnt worth much and I think there were to many made for it to be considered a collectable.
As for your mac II i would save it and mod the hell outta it. Turn it into a 900 mhz power rig.

Or, if you're into fishing, it might make a good boat anchor. ;)

Thanks guys, that's what I thought.
maybe I'll take the guts out of the monitor and use it as a lava lamp:D

I doubt it'll be any good... I have a ZX and a Commodore 64 somewhere in my house, hidden away... :p

You could turn it into a tiny filing cabinet or a place to keep your keys and stuff. That's what I did with my old SGI. :) Check it out: http://www.edharriss.com/misc/sgi_cabinet.html

Very cool Ed, did you have to put the hinges on it?
And if a burgler ever gets in, he'll think to take the bigger machine :)
Maybe I could turn into a Giant garage for my three sons' matchbox and hot wheels cars ;)
