Hi guys, I have a little problem with voltage...
My configuration is AMD Athlon XP 2000+, Asus A7V266-C motherboard, Windows XP Pro.
I recently installed the Asus Probe 2 monitor, and sometimes it blinks showing an alert on Voltage 12+, when it reachs the thresold limit.
It happens when I work with Maya, and exactly after a long time of modelling (moving a lot the viewports and working with hardware shading, and that stuff). So it starts to blink, I release the mouse for a few seconds, and it stops!!!....
Is that normal?

I recently change the processor's fan (I use only AMD original fan) because a problem of heat, and the problem persists...

Thanx!

what's your threshold limit set to?

I don't understand why you are getting voltage warnings.
The BIOS on your board sets the voltage parameters. I don't believe there is room for + or - settings. I have a similar ASUS board earlier rev though. Maybe it's changed since.

Is this Probe a Software based monitor or something you monitor outside on your case linked to the CPU? Did you set the voltage above the specified parameters?
If it is software based, I would suspect that you need an update or contact ASUS about the warnings. Unless you are modeling some high rez monster of a model, I can't imagine you are stressing the CPU to get juiced.

The threshold limit is set to 10 % . Its the default setting.
This software reads the BIOS info. It came with the ASUS Motherboard cd installation.
As you said, richcz3, I dont think that model a simple face may stress so much the CPU!!
