k, i know theres a thread on converting 24 fps to 30 fps , but heres my problem, I need to make a reel for the web and all my animations are at 24 fps which works fine.
Except i have one animation which is at 30 fps. And when i convert it to 24 fps its obvious that its removing frames which in turn messes up my spacing in my animation and looks like bad animation.
Is there a way to specify what frames after effects removes?? so i can pick the frames for it to remove. Its just a 115 frame animation with sound. Any input would be appreciated. Cheers.

Here's what I suggest..

Drop two copies of your clip into a 24fps comp. One is just for the audio so you can turn off visibility. For the other turn off audio. For the layer with no audio turn on timeremapping. Now you can go in and carefully move frames around or non-destructively delete them to your satisfaction.

thank u gmask, i'm a total newbie to after effects and i have no idea what time remapping does.
I'm using a tiff sequnce,
i made a comp 720 X 486
24 fps
imported my tiff seq (which is at 30fps)
interpreted it as 24 fps
obviously my audio doesen't sync up
i enabled time remapping to my tiff layer
and i have no idea what to do now :scream:
sorry for asking detailed instructions
Cheers- Modi.

Okay well Time remapping let's you keyframe the current frame number. You want frame 5 at frame 6 just make a keyframe on frame 6 that says frame 5 in the time remapping field.

Bascially to ioslate areas that are workign for you the first hing you should do is set the last keyframe to the end of your audio.
Since you tiff sequence shouldbe longer than the audio currently.

Then keyframe areas that are working and then work on the areas that need remapping.
