View Full Version : Hot Coals Anyone?
CobraX 08-28-2003, 12:02 AM Hi, i am looking to creat e some hot burniong Coals...with animated incandescence.
Would you guys have some kind of hint?
I thought about some pre-made shaders...i am not sure about this though...
i just want some thoughts on how to do this one, please.

i think have a barbeque and see for yourself, that is if you dont use gas. :)
try an animated procedural, and animate the size and noise values in and out.

animate a noise over the incandescence that is right?

yeh thats right. duplicate your colour noise and use it in the incadescence change the colors to a hot coal burning...orangy red.
then animate the values in that so it looks like its burning oxygen, fade the colours in and out a bit. experiment. :)
