Giles hodges 08-27-2003, 11:06 PM in max under the render dialog, there is a option to turn on/off superblack, what does this do, i have been puzzled for months:rolleyes:

Hey Giles your guess is as good as mine....but i was able to find it under the Help/User Reference in Max! Just type in super black as two words and it gives a pretty detailed explaination! Hope that helps you. Good Luck!

if this help, i use it to change the black values for all my scene, this way tha black that remainds in the background is darker , this way im aviable to cut off the background using a luminance keyer in after effects or combustion or what u are using.
this is used when u cant export files with transparency as: tga, png.
at least for me thats the way that it works.:lightbulb
