I'm not really sure what to call this, or even how to post it due to the insane size proportion. The original image is over 2000x11000, and will print out to 8x38 inches at 300 DPI...

Sorry the image is so small, I just don't see a way to post the entire thing, you would have to scroll for like 6 pages :hmm:

Anyway, what I'm doing is taking a picture, tilting the camera up, taking another shot, and continuing untill I'm almost looking straight up. Then I'm "stitching" the pictures together in photoshop.

The hard part is getting them to line up, because on my digital camera, it's hard to set the lens EXACTLY to 50mm, so I have to "paint out" areas that don't line up. I have already finished one, but I can't post it, it's for a contest, but I plan on doing several more, and having them printed out side by side on a large roll of paper, and mounting it.

I'll post updates. So far, all I have done is roughly layed out the images, I'll go in and adjust the positions, and start painting out the lines, and collor correcting the layers so they match perfectly.

I think I found the mood I like for the image, and I have most of the photoshop touch up work done. I think I'm going to add a helicopter or 2 in the sky, like war or something.

This is an area that got some heavy rebuilding, espeicaly the fence area:

and some other cropped shots of some heavy worked areas. I think you'll be hard pressed to find the seams. if you find any that stand out, please circle them or something, I'm starting to go blind looking at this :surprised haha!

sorry about the compression :hmm:

I had to do alot to the sky to get it smooth, I think it looks quite good so far. still debating on helicopters or not, or a bomber dropping bombs in the background or something. Good idea? or no?
