squidinc 08-27-2003, 10:11 PM anyone have any experience at importing motion capture data into c4d and applying it to a c4d built rig?.
and if you do, do you also know of any good places to get some free mocap data?.

hey there, i have also been looking for this, yet have absolutely no idea where u can find this...if anyone knows...i also really wanna know :D

Well actually i think is possible as i directly know some guys who did the MoCap for Direct2Brain company who was making a music video.
Actually they used FilmBox for the Mocap And than ported to 3dStudioMax. Than (i don't know how) they exported the whole animation into C4D... and the video was... guys believe me... STUNNING!!!

for years, i have collected more than 1000 BVH mocpa data from many source, commercial or free.
They can be loaded in C4D for instant character animation use. Not necessarily MOCAP module, but rigging with traditional bones.
But I can't shar the BVH files according to the commercial rules.

well can you give me an idea of where you got them from? I mean, is there a website that deals with a lot of free files or what? and should I be looking for bvh files or something else? :)

Hi Squid. A while back someone on PF posted a link to a huge number of free bvh files. I don't have the link, but if you like I could send you the files. It's about a 30Mb zip file.

I did post a thread at r'osity for thousand of free BVH to dld, but the link seems obsolete now, ccheersssss.
