Hey all,

I would like to make an object to be able to emit and illuminate the scene and surrounding objects.

I already tried the "incadecence and final gather" method, didn't really like the result, also tried the paint effects method but it's a bit difficult to create a 3D object with paint effects.

So lets say I have an object like a bottle for example, and I want that whole bottle to emit light.. mimic a neon light for instance, which will emit light around the edges of the object but also reflecting of surfaces around the scene...

How could this be done?

Thanks, Yuriy.

mia_light_surface might be what you are looking for.

The shader itself only returns a color and does not do any other shading per se. A tip is to use it plugged into the additional_color of mia_material.

3/4 of the way down if where you find the mia_light_surface on that page
