View Full Version : Maya Jiggle Deformer Question
Hi, I was wondering if anybody can tell me if it was possible to apply the jiggle
deformer on an object and have it react to another surface when they make contact
with each other.
Thanks

maybe cloth can help u , did u try it?
I've actually did, but didn't really liked it. I thought the jiggle deformer was a lot more easier to use. Is there anything else that can do the same?

The Muscle deformation system in Maya has what you need. You can both jiggle a surface and have it collide with other objects. Look in that direction.
Thanks, I'll look into that.
I got another question, this time about using ncloth. Can anyone explain to me how to get the ncloth to follow a character rig. Also if I wanted the ncloth to not intersect with the character, how would I do that? I've tried doing this in the past and can never get ncloth to work properly with a character rig.
Thanks

to get the ncloth to follow u either need to turn up the input mesh attract and then paint back what you want to be dynamic or add dynamic constraints or a mixture of both.. and to not intersect you need to create passive collider objects, on what you don't want the cloth to pass thru. hope that helps
