First, to my mind came this character, which I remember from childhood, it was the first fantasy film that I saw - the cyclop from the island of Colossa - LINK (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a77pycC78Q0)

I decided to make a 3d perspective, this makes it easier to choose the correct composition i think.

Cheers and good luck :)

Eye-candy!
(There is something about the eye direction....maybe it would be better if you give the eyes a slight rotation to the right side and put the attention to the center of the image, leading the observers eye out of the image more pleasingly. You have a lot of space on the right side but it seems that she's looking more on the other way..
I think it would bee better balanced..a human face is the most important shape that eyes/brain recognize, and it affects composition a lot).

gedomenas
03-02-2010, 11:43 PM
MrHappy - i am happy that's my work is useful for you, thanks :)

tccin3d - thank you for your attention, maybe you are right, now she is watching her victim, but I'll try to focus her eyes like you say :)

She’s lookin’ real hot and hornety. :D
This is getting nicer and nicer!
A couple of meager suggestions:
I’d reduce the abdomen shadow a little bit to bring out the black and yellow hornet patterns. The abdomen is against a dark bg anyway, so lightening the shadow wont hurt the volume. I’d also try to bring the stinger out more clearly.
