Niiiiice modelling and great idea! The hair looks cool and fits with the rest of the model quite perfectly. But something just keeps poking me in the eye about the skin and the shape of the body. I know it isn't a human. but I think the limbs could use a bit more definition, they look a bit too simplified and 'fat' (look at the legs in the 2nd pic). The skin might need more colour variation or something, as it looks a bit flat (very cool tattoos btw). Some of the egyptian stuff I've seen have also had stronger highlights, but I'm not sure if that's the look you're after.

You might want to tone down the bump mapping on the sword and adjust the anti-aliasing settings a bit, the pics look slightly grainy (might be the texture on the skin?) and the edges appear quite rough.

I hope other people give some C&C too, this looks very promising.

hi,
i saw this one on the newtek forum.. without any texture.. and that was still really good looking..
but now..
whhooaaa.. cool shader and pose..

this piece is turning really nice

i would allow me just some minor critique..
1 : work a bit more on the haire.. you should be able to tweack sasquatch to give you more thinner hair..

2: may be a brigther environemnt ?

but.. dont listen to me..
really great job done !!!!

Nice. I like it!

The tail looks a bit odd... I would narrow it down at the end and put on a tuft of hair.

More work can be done on the skin textures...

Bah what a great design. 3rd character? I don't believe you. It is way to good for a third character.

Cool poses btw

Thanks all... I swear that this is my third complete model...
I'm pretty new to high poly modelling, in the past i modeled only low poly characters for real time engine... not the same thing...

well, i'll try to draw a better texture... if anyone have some suggestion on how to make her skin more realistic... also any tips on lightning setup...

Anyway... thanks :)

your model looks really great. my only comment is the hips look a little narrow compared to the very ample torso you gave her.

I think the people here said just about everything: very good model, but still needs work.:applause:
Is she a Bubasti?

A little update, new skin texture, rendering with radiosity and a little post-process in Photoshop

I think the top version of the model is excellent.

It looks very stony, just like a Egyptian or Indian (I forget which one it looks like) statue, the ones you'd see in museums.
The texture on the ornaments and sword is also excellent. They look very fitting to the time period the statue would be created. There is a certain quality to the jewelry, that is... cheap by modern standards, that makes them look very colorful and appealing. (I think it might be unpurified gold: gold tainted by copper and other metals.)

The hair is great. It looks like braided strings - textured cloth fibers attached to it. Very fitting.

These museum statues often have exaggerated busts, and slim hips. So I think the proportion you have is excellent.

I much prefer the top version, where it is dark and stony. It looks like the statue opened its eyes, and came to life! (The villagers run away! They return with offerings of food and gold!)

The clean gray background also adds to this museum quality. The whole model looks very beautifully artificial.

The newest render I like not so much. Its skin is a mixture of real and stone. But I can think of it as: perhaps it's in the process of transformation - coming to life - turning to flesh.

So therefore I will say the newest render is excellent too. (although her face seems to be transforming last in a strange manner. Even her forehead has already transformed further.)

 X 5 / 5
